Instead, thousands of people will gather to run 5 km, 10 km, 21 km or 42 km, including many families and first-time racers. This is not an elite competition. But the framework behind it is more valuable than a simple community race. It is changing how Vietnam measures the meaning of a running event.

For HDBank Green Marathon 2026, the official message is focused on green living and digital experience. Can Gio is a UNESCO-recognized mangrove biosphere reserve, and the race route passes through forest, riverside roads and coastal areas. The race also includes the Green Marathon online platform, which extends training and social engagement before and after race day.
